Just imagine if the island of Bali did not have mountains, rainforests, and lakes. Even the mountains, forests, and lakes are almost exactly in the middle of the island of Bali.
The three lakes flanked by forest mountains are Tamblingan, Buyan, and Bratan lakes. All three are located at an altitude of 1200 - 1500 meters above sea level. Lake Bratan, in addition to the others, is the most important lake and as a reservoir of freshwater that seeps out as waterfalls or small rivers that flow into the sea and even become a means of clean water and rice fields irrigation for the Balinese people.
Since ancient times, the lake Bratan has been respected by the ancestors and established for a place of worship, and known as the Ulun Danu Temple like as a Temple that hovers above the lake water. Ulun Danu Temple is one of the important places of worship where individuals or a group of Balinese people come to perform rituals and religious studies for students.
